MITG
ENC

Regulated Enclave

ENC is a managed CMMC enclave on Microsoft GCC High: a bounded environment for controlled unclassified information (CUI). MITG monitors and defends the enclave, manages its security engineering, and supports compliance, as a service.

Without an enclave

CUI spread across the organization. Every system that stores, processes, or transmits it is in assessment scope.

With ENC

CUI concentrated in one bounded environment on GCC High. Assessment scope is the enclave, monitored and defended by MITG.

In CMMC assessment scope

Why an enclave

CMMC assessments cover every system where CUI is stored, processed, or transmitted. An enclave can reduce assessment scope, cost, and risk by concentrating CUI into one defensible environment instead of extending the assessment across the entire organization.

Service levels

The service is offered at three levels, each defined by the scope of MITG’s responsibility.

01
Enclave Managed Threat Response (MTR)
Monitoring and response for an enclave operated by your team or another provider.
02
Enclave MTR with Security Engineering
Monitoring and response, plus MITG management of the enclave’s security configuration, hardening, and drift control.
03
Enclave MTR with Security Engineering and Compliance Program Management
Monitoring, response, and security engineering, plus day-to-day management of the compliance program. Your organization remains the certified entity and retains ownership of the program.

Assessment support

MITG produces and maintains the technical evidence for the controls it operates and supports your relationship with the assessor before, during, and after certification.

Common questions

What is a CMMC enclave?

Why Microsoft GCC High?
It is the Microsoft cloud environment built for US government compliance requirements, including those common in defense supply chains.
Who needs an enclave?
Contractors and subcontractors handling CUI under Department of Defense contracts, and companies preparing for CMMC assessment.
Does MITG certify the enclave?
Certification is earned by your organization through an assessor. MITG builds, operates, and defends the environment and produces the evidence the assessment examines.
